Each February we send two teams to represent the school in the local chapter of the Cara Credit Union competition. We usually have trial runs and even leagues to determine who will make up the Junior team (U-11) and Senior team (U-13).
The standard is extremely high even at local level. Over the past number of years we have been pitted against teams that have reached, and won national finals. So much for Kerryman jokes!!
We have always done well at local level and even came home with a second place finish in the Junior section some years back. The children in our school love quizzes and are really proud to represent Scoil Nuachabháil in the competition.
