Photographs of our wonderful marathon day, run on a beautiful day in Ballymac on Friday 25th March. Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable occasion.

Congratulations to Saoirse Murphy in Rang 5 on winning the Radio Kerry Halloween short story competition for 2020. Her composition “The Black Candle” was chosen from hundreds of entries from around the county as the outstanding entry.

Saoirse, a girl of many talents, loves writing and took time out of her own schedule to write the story. She enjoys writing in various genres and this story is overflowing with atmosphere, tension and a smattering of fun.

Congratulations to everyone who entered and we wish them all the very best and hope that they continue to practice and hone their writing skills in a county that has produced world renowned authors, poets, playwrights and essayists.
